Special Olympics Live Stream This Friday, 8 March

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 7, 2019: This Friday, 8 March, Special Olympics will be going coast to coast doing a live stream featuring our athletes and influencers to show the world how much better it can be when we practice inclusion and #ChooseToInclude. The live stream will start at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time/11 a.m. Pacific Time. This live stream will be a continuation of Special Olympics’ The Revolution is Inclusion campaign and a look ahead to the Abu Dhabi 2019 Special Olympics World Games, which kick off 14 March.

Max Carver, an actor who has appeared on MTV’s Teen Wolf and HBO’s The Leftovers, will host the live stream. He will join Special Olympics athletes and travel around Los Angeles to live stream segments discussing Special Olympics work in inclusion, sports, health, and living Unified. Max will be joined by a robust cast of special guests. Special Olympics athlete, Sargent Shriver International Global Messenger, and Health Messenger Hanna Joy Atkinson will talk through health and wellness tips alongside Olympic gold medalist Apolo Ohno. Jason and Ashley Wahler from MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings will co-host a segment with Chef Kevin Lee about eating healthy.

The live stream will also visit Pizzability in Denver, Colorado, and Kellis High School in Arizona. Both were recently featured as a part of Special Olympics Game Changers film series. Pizzability is a pizzeria operated and staffed by 25 employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and 8 of those employees are Special Olympics athletes. Kellis High School is one of many Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools that exemplifies living Unified. The Riot Gaming Headquarters, a revolutionary in the gaming field, will be featured as well. Finally, WWE Superstars, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, will join the livestream. WWE has been a longtime supporter of Special Olympics and is a partner for the upcoming World Games.

Starting this Friday, you can watch all of these segments and more at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time/11 a.m. Pacific Tim on www.specialolympics.org and Special Olympics Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch channels.
