Team Egypt trains for the 2019 World Games!
Ahead of the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi, Team Egypt held training camp for the athletes who'll be competing in 14 different sports. Nearly 100 Egyptian athletes and Unified Sports teammates, along with coaches and staffers, will travel to the World Games, set for 14-21 March 2019 in the United Arab Emirates. These are the first Special Olympics World Games to be held in the Middle East/North Africa region, as Special Olympics athletes continue building an inclusive world—through sports!

On Friday, November 30th Special Olympics D.C. hosted its 34th Night of Trees Fundraising Gala. The black-tie affair consisted of a live and silent auction, champagne reception, dancing, and a live band. Historically proceeds from the evening contribute roughly one-third of the funds needed to provide programming and community support for Special Olympics D.C.
