Y ellos se lo merecen.”&lt;br/>&lt;br/>En el 2010, el presidente Barack Obama firmó la “Ley de Rosa”, que cambió “retardo mental” por “discapacidad intelectual” en la ley federal estadounidense. Inspirado por Rosa Marcellino, una niña de 9 años, la ley fue un componente crucial en los esfuerzos por promover un lenguaje inclusivo y respetuoso para las personas con discapacidad intelectual.&lt;br/>&lt;br/>Uno de esos esfuerzos, para acabar con el uso ofensivo de la “palabra con R” es la campaña &lt;br/>&lt;br/>“Spread the Word to End the Word” lanzada en el 2009, que inspiró a más de un millón de personas a firmar la promesa para acabar con la “Palabra con R”. Diez años después, &lt;br/>&lt;br/>“Spread the Word to End the Word” se convierte en “Riega la Palabra: Inclusión”, enfocándose en más allá de una palabra y creando una nueva realidad de inclusión para todas las personas con discapacidad intelectual y de desarrollo.&lt;br/></video:description>
