Intense Competition at the First Ever Pan African Games

The Special Olympics 1st Pan African Games, held 23rd – 31st January in Egypt, Cairo, brought together athletes from the Special Olympics African and Middle East North Africa regions.

Across seven days of inspiring events and competitions in athletics, basketball, bocce and football, over 1,000 athletes from 42 Special Olympics programs around the African continent, performed their best, broke down barriers and showcased the power of inclusion!
