Ken Melvin's Tips on Facilitating a Meeting

Have you been tasked to lead a meeting but don’t know where to begin? Whether you have 3 or 100 participants, Ken Melvin has tips to help you get started the right way.

Ken Melvin is Special Olympics athlete from Indiana who plays a number of Unified Sports such as basketball and golf. He has served a variety of committees throughout his Athlete Leadership career including his current role as Global Athlete Input Council president.

Special Olympics athletes have skills and abilities beyond sports. In our Expert Tip video series, athletes share their know-how on a range of helpful and popular topics to highlight their knowledge and leadership skills. Athlete Leadership empowers athletes to develop leadership skills and utilize their voices and abilities to undertake meaningful leadership roles, influence change in the Special Olympics movement and create inclusive communities around the world. As athletes gain the confidence that comes with achievement, they feel empowered and ready to take on new challenges to make use of all their abilities. We thank Bank of America for their commitment to supporting Athlete Leadership.
