Special Olympics and Starkey Hearing Foundation Partnership Bring the Gift of Hearing to World Games Athletes.

In July 2018, Special Olympics entered into a partnership with Starkey Hearing Technologies and Starkey Hearing Foundation with the mission of making hearing health more inclusive of people with intellectual disabilities (ID) from around the world. The fruit of this partnership could be seen at the Abu Dhabi World Games where 2,714 athletes and Unified partners were screened at Special Olympics Healthy Hearing, 478 hearing aids were distributed among 251 athletes and Unified partners from 67 delegations and 74 athletes received aftercare on site.
