Special Olympics volunteers Dr. Dindo Astom and Dr. Arlyn Astom found a way to make a difference for people with intellectual disabilities after their 20-year-old son Aaron began going to a center for therapy after he had been diagnosed with autism when he was a child.
The center led them to form the "No Limits" advocacy group and eventually joining Special Olympics Philippines where they volunteered with Special Olympics Healthy Athletes made possible by the Golisano Foundations, providing free eye check-ups to athletes with intellectual disabilities and Young Athletes, where their 12-year-old twins Daniel and Gabriel who also been diagnosed with autism at the age of 8 participated even though they were slightly older.
