The Special Olympics Toyota bZ Sweepstakes Official Rules

THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS TOYOTA bZ SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES”) OFFICIAL RULES (THE “OFFICIAL RULES”)

NO PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE SWEEPSTAKES. THE sweepstakes is intended to promote awareness and engagement with Special Olympics and does not constitute a solicitation for donations. WHILE YOU ARE PERMITTED TO MAKE A DONATION TO SPECIAL OLYMPICS, Contributions are not required to enter or win and will not affect chances of winning. THE SWEEPSTAKES is NOT A RAFFLE, LOTTERY, OR GAME OF CHANCE.

A PURCHASE OR CONTRIBUTION WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIOD: SWEEPSTAKES BEGINS AT 12:01 AM ET on 8/1/25 AND ENDS AT 11:59 PM ET ON 9/30/25 (THE “ENTRY PERIOD”).

ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the United States & Washington, D.C., excluding Minnesota and Washington, age 21 years or older at time of entry (each, an “Entrant”). Void where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws & regulations and governed by U.S. law. Employees (and their immediate families [spouse, partner, parent, child, and / or sibling ], regardless of where they reside or those living in the same households, whether or not related) of Special Olympics, Inc. (the “Sponsor"), Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (“TMS”), and/or Ventura Associates International LLC (the “Sweepstakes Administrator”), and their respective parent companies, board members, consultants, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and all other companies involved with the development or execution of the Sweepstakes (collectively referred to as the “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible to enter or win.

METHODS OF ENTRY:

METHOD #1 (PERSONALIZED DIRECT MAIL): If you received a Sweepstakes direct mail package in the mail with 10 entry tickets, follow the instructions provided therein to complete & return the entry form (with or without a donation) AND your FULLY SEPARATED entry tickets (includingup to a maximum of 10*). Mail to: Special Olympics, Inc., Attn: 2025 Sweepstakes, PO Box 626, Albert Lea, MN 56007-0626. Your mail-in entry must be postmarked by 9/30/25 and received by Sponsor no later than 10/14/25 to qualify for inclusion into the Sweepstakes random drawing. (*For additional entries, see Method #3 below.)

METHOD #2 (ONLINE): To enter online (“online entry”) visit www.specialolympics.org/sweepstakes during the Sweepstakes Entry Period and follow all online entry instructions to enter. Online entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on 9/30/25 to qualify in the random drawing. Online entries require a donation. Limit: One (1) entry submission per person per day for a maximum of up to 10 entry tickets. (For additional entries in any given day, see Method #3 below.) Online entries are deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an Entrant, the dispute will be resolved in favor of the Entrant who is the “authorized account holder” of the email account holder. The “authorized account holder" shall be the natural person assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (i.e., business, education institution) responsible for assigning email addresses).

METHOD #3 (POSTCARD): To enter without making a donation, hand print your name, address, e-mail address (optional) and telephone number (optional) on a postcard. Affix proper postage and mail it to: The Special Olympics Toyota bZ Sweepstakes Entries, P.O. Box 9330, Medford, NY 11763-9330. Postcard entries must be postmarked by 9/30/25 and received by 10/14/25.

If an Entrant submits more than the number of entries allowed by these Rules, and/or if the Sponsor suspects that an Entrant attempted to obtain additional entries by using multiple email addresses, email accounts, registrations, identities or any other method, all entries submitted by the Entrant will be declared null and void, and the Entrant will be disqualified from participation in the Sweepstakes at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Entries will not be returned nor acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage due mail/entries. Sponsor will not assume responsibility for any third party’s failure to act in accordance with its instructions pertaining to Sweepstakes implementation.

THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS TOYOTA bZ SWEEPSTAKES CONSUMER DISCLOSURES: No purchase or contribution of any kind necessary to enter or win. You have not yet won. The Sweepstakes begins on 8/1/25 and ends on 9/30/25. A 2026 Toyota bZ with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (“MSRP) of up to $53,000.00, which MSRP is as of date of drafting these Official Rules (“Grand Prize”)]. In the event the actual MSRP is less than the stated MSRP, no additional compensation will be provided. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. One (1) Grand Prize to be awarded in the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning estimated at: 1:33,700. The depiction of the Grand Prize in any advertising or promotional materials may not reflect the actual Grand Prize delivered to the Winner. Sponsor will determine all features of Grand Prize, including, but not limited to, color of exterior and interior, and all other features or upgrades will be allowed only if permitted by delivery dealer and paid for by Winner. Winner must be a U.S. licensed driver and will be required to provide proof of valid U.S. driver’s license and legally required insurance at time of delivery (or an alternative Winner shall be selected if applicable and the original Winner’s rights to the vehicle shall be automatically forfeited). Winner is responsible for title, applicable taxes, license, registration, dealer preparation costs, auto insurance and other fees associated with Grand Prize. Sweepstakes Entities shall not have any responsibility or liability whatsoever for any property loss, damage, personal injury, or death, in connection with the Grand Prize provided pursuant to the Sweepstakes and/or any person’s participation in the Sweepstakes; provided, however, that Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. shall be solely responsible for any express-written limited warranties specifically set forth in the applicable Owner's Guide for the Grand Prize. Winner must take delivery of Grand Prize from the dealership designated by Sweepstakes Entities. Toyota agrees to make reasonable efforts to coordinate vehicle delivery at a dealership location as close as practicable to the Winner’s primary residence, as determined by the address provided at the time of entry. Sweepstakes Entities shall not be responsible for delays in delivery of the Grand Prize, and delivery is subject to availability. Sweepstakes Entities, however, shall use all reasonable efforts, subject to availability, to deliver the Grand Prize within one hundred twenty (120) days of completion of verification process. Toyota represents and warrants that the Grand Prize vehicle will be delivered in a safe, roadworthy condition and free from any defects that would render it unsafe for operation at the time of delivery. Toyota shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the vehicle complies with all applicable safety standards and regulations. The Winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to the Grand Prize after it has been delivered to the specified delivery site. The Winner must personally retrieve the Grand Prize within ten (10) days of written notification of delivery. If the Grand Prize is not picked up at dealership designated by Sweepstakes Entities within thirty (30) days of required date, Winner bears risk of loss or damage. After 30 days, the Grand Prize is considered forfeited, and an alternate Winner may be notified at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Grand Prize is non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize for one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. Winner is responsible for all taxes and other costs and fees associated with Grand Prize receipt and/or use not specified herein as being awarded.

Sponsor and Toyota grant each other a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use its name, logo, and trademarks solely in connection with the promotion and administration of the Sweepstakes, subject to prior written approval of all materials containing such marks. Each Party reserves the right to revoke such license upon written notice if use is inconsistent with brand guidelines or reputational standards. Neither Party shall use the other’s marks in a manner that implies endorsement beyond the scope of this Sweepstakes.

WINNER SELECTION & WINNERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES: Random drawing will be conducted by the Sweepstakes Administrator whose decisions are final & binding in all respects. Random drawing will be conducted on or about 10/21/25 to select one (1) potential winner from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes’ Entry Period (“Winner”). The contact information provided at time of entry will be used to notify Winner. Sponsor is not responsible for changes to an Entrant’s contact information that may interfere with Winner notification. Winner will be notified by mail, overnight courier &/or email and will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release plus an IRS W9 Form (collectively referred as the “Prize Documents”) within seven (7) days from date on notification. If Winner does not return the required Prize Documents within seven (7) days or and/or supply information required by the Sponsor or Sweepstakes Administrator for Grand Prize fulfillment, or if said email and/or mail is returned as undeliverable, or if an Entrant is otherwise found to be ineligible, or if Winner cannot accept or receive Grand Prize for any reason, the Winner will forfeit the Grand Prize and an alternate Winner may be selected at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to revoke Grand Prize eligibility if the Winner engages in conduct that is unlawful, offensive, or otherwise damaging to the reputation of the Sponsor, as determined in the Sponsor’s sole discretion. All fees, federal, state, local or income taxes or other expenses relating to the use, acceptance and possession of Grand Prize are the Winner’s sole responsibility. An IRS form 1099 will be filed in the name of Winner for the value of Grand Prize won. Except where prohibited by law, entry & acceptance of Grand Prize constitute permission to use Winner's name, Grand Prize won, hometown and likeness/photograph in any and all media, including but limited to online posting, social media platforms and for promotional purposes at any time in perpetuity throughout the world without further compensation, notification or approval.

GENERAL & LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants on their behalf, and on behalf of their respective heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns (the “Releasing Parties”), release, defend and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities as well as the employees, officers, directors, agents dealers and/or distributors of each (the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, dues, sums of money, accounts, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, controversies, agreements, promises, variances, trespasses, lost profits, indirect or direct damages, consequential damages, incidental damages, punitive or exemplary damages, judgments, extent, executions, claims and demands whatsoever, in law, admiralty or equity, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, against Released Parties which any one or more of the Releasing Parties ever had, now have or hereafter can, shall or may have which in any way arise out of or result from Entrant’s participation, acceptance and use or misuse of any Grand Prize, including property damage, personal injury or death. The Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot be implemented due to delays or interruptions caused by acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, pandemic, national health or safety crisis, weather, utility outages or acts of terrorism, or other matters beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, corrupt, prevent or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes, that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, except where prohibited by law, the Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to modify the Rules or to cancel, terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes; and in such event,to select applicable Winner by such method as the Sponsor in its sole discretion shall consider equitable. Entrants assume all liability for any injury, including death or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of Grand Prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of Grand Prize. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by these official rules, including all eligibility requirements. Failure to comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Any attempt by any individual to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of these Rules as well as criminal and civil laws; and should the Sponsor believe or become aware that such an attempt has been, is being, or will be made, it has the right to seek remedies and damages from any responsible individuals to the fullest extent permitted by law, including without limitation criminal prosecution.

By participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant expressively waives and relinquishes all rights and benefits afforded by California Civil Code 1542 and does so understanding and acknowledging the significance of this waiver. Section 1542 states as follows: “A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS THAT THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DID NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE AND THAT, IF KNOWN, BY HIM OR HER, WOULD HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR THE RELEASED PARTIES.

REPRESENTATION: By entering, each Entrant represents and warrants that their participation does not violate any applicable laws or infringe upon the rights of any third party.

INDEMNIFICATION: All Entrants shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties and representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from such representation and warranty, violation of the official rules, fraud, misrepresentation, tampering, or any other wrongful conduct in connection with their participation. This indemnification obligation shall survive the conclusion of the Sweepstakes, and the Sponsor reserves the right to control the defense of any such claim at the entrant’s expense.

GOVERNING LAW; ARBITRATION: The Sweepstakes shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the District of Columbia, U.S.A. without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. Entrants hereby agree that any and all disputes, claims, causes of action, or controversies (“Claims”) arising out of or in connection with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved, upon the election by Entrant or the Sponsor, by arbitration pursuant to this provision and the code of procedures of either the National Arbitration Forum (“NAF”) or the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), as selected by the Entrant. Arbitration shall take place in the District of Columbia. IF ARBITRATION IS CHOSEN BY ANY PARTY WITH RESPECT TO A CLAIM, NEITHER PARTY WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO LITIGATE THAT CLAIM IN COURT OR HAVE A JURY TRIAL ON THAT CLAIM. FURTHER, NEITHER SPONSOR NOR ENTRANT WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR OTHER PERSONS SIMILARLY SITUATED, OR AS A MEMBER OF ANY CLASS OF CLAIMANTS PERTAINING TO ANY CLAIM SUBJECT TO ARBITRATION. EXCEPT AS SET FORTH BELOW, THE ARBITRATOR’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING. NOTE THAT OTHER RIGHTS THAT ENTRANT WOULD HAVE IF ENTRANT WENT TO COURT ALSO MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IN ARBITRATION. The arbitrator’s authority to resolve Claims is limited to Claims between the Sponsor and Entrant alone, and the arbitrator’s authority to make awards is limited to awards to the Sponsor and Entrant alone. Furthermore, claims brought by either Party against the other may not be joined or consolidated in arbitration with Claims brought by or against any third party, unless agreed to in writing by all Parties. No arbitration award or decision will have any preclusive effect as to issues or claims in any dispute with anyone who is not a named party to the arbitration. Notwithstanding any other provision in this Agreement and without waiving either Party’s right to appeal such decision, should any portion of this provision be deemed invalid or unenforceable, then the entire provision (other than this sentence) shall not apply. The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of any Grand Prize.

PRIVACY: By entering, each Entrant accepts & agrees that personal data provided to the Sponsor in connection with this Sweepstakes, including name, address, telephone number, and email address, may be processed, stored, or otherwise used within the context of administering the Sweepstakes and engaging in marketing and public relations-related activity with the Sweepstakes Entities, including, but not limited to, TMS, Sponsor’s prizing partner. The Entrant expressly consents to such processing, storage, and use. Information collected from Entrants will also be treated in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy and Data Security (the ”Privacy Policy”) which can be viewed at  www.specialolympics.org/privacy-policy, TMS’ Privacy Notice which can be found at https://www.toyota.com/support/privacy-notice/ and the privacy policies/notices of other Sweepstakes Entities. ENTRANT MAY OPT OUT OF THE EMAILS AT ANY TIME.  

WINNER’S NAME: For the name of the Winner (available after 12/7/25) send a stamped, self-addressed envelope by 9/30/25 to: The Special Olympics Toyota bZ Sweepstakes Winner, c/o: Ventura Associates – Attn. DE, 494 Eighth Avenue, Suite 1700, New York, NY 10001.

NOTICE TO ONLINE ENTRANTS: The Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; (ii) any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes, or (iii) the failure of any third party to comply with the instructions and proper administration of this Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor reserves the right to: permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and terminate the Sweepstakes or the online portion if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), or to select Winner from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. LEGAL WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT AN ENTRANT, TO DELIBERATELY INTERFERE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES, IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL & CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
