A Letter from President Bill Clinton

Dear Eunice:

I am delighted to add my congratulations to the many you'll be receiving as Special Olympics' 40th anniversary year comes to a close.

As President, I was grateful for all you did to help me better understand the issues people with intellectual disabilities face, how we could help them, and how much they have to contribute. Special Olympics has helped all Americans better understand these things. It has given countless individuals with intellectual disabilities a chance to shine, and their success has inspired a fundamental change in our society's attitudes. The generations of people with intellectual disabilities who will live better lives are truly your legacy, and I'm glad this website will tell your powerful story.

Sincerely,

Bill Clinton
