Daniel is 37 years old, he joined Special Olympics in October 2012. He has earned medals in National Swimming Games in Guatemala, in the Regional Games in Panama 2017, 800m freestyle swimming gold medal in the Abu Dhabi World Games 2019 and Triathlon 7th place in the Slovakia Games 2023.
Daniel is an athlete leader, trained health messenger and was a board member for SO Guatemala from 2019 to 2022. He is also a spokesperson and has a lot of experience giving speeches and his life testimony on different Special Olympics Guatemala events.
He is a member of the Voices of Inclusion campaign, a Special Olympics Guatemala Volunteer, host, and emcee on different activities such as the Regional Youth Summit held in Guatemala in 2020.
