Hi, my name is Maya and I am a Special Olympics youth ambassador from New Jersey. I am a first-year student at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY, with majors in social work and business. I got involved with Special Olympics through Girl Scouts. I held the role of president in my high school's Unified club, where I met my unified partner. I am honored to represent New Jersey as a youth ambassador and a founding member of our youth activation committee. Outside of Special Olympics, I am super passionate about mental health and volunteer as a crisis counselor. I also love to write, watch Grey's Anatomy, and eat lots of sushi with my friends.
