Special Olympics Europe Eurasia and the European Golf Association began their official partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on 8 May 2013. The objective of their partnership is to continue to grow and develop the sport of golf within Europe with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The European Golf Association was founded in Luxembourg on 20 November 1937. The Association declares as its foundation the observance of the Rules of Golf and Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A Limited.
