Rosalino Chávez is an athlete from Special Olympics Paraguay in the Latin America Region. Rosalino has been involved in Special Olympics for 11 years. During his time in Special Olympics, he has participated in different competitions and in leadership trainings.
Rosalino’s participation in Special Olympics is not limited to sports. In addition to being an athlete, he is a Health Messenger. Rosalino is also the President of the Leadership Advisory Council in Paraguay as well as a member of the Regional Athlete Leadership Council of Special Olympics Latin America.
Project Description
Rosalino’s grant plan is to develop significant leadership roles for athletes such as Assistant Trainer, Event Organizer, and Health Messenger. Working with the coordinators from local programs, he will train athletes using modules 1 and 2 of the new leadership curriculum. As athletes are trained, they will actively participate in face-to-face or virtual program events including sports, health, and more.
