A Letter from Peter Farrelly

The most impressive woman I have ever met is Eunice Kennedy Shriver, and I should point out that, due to my position in the film industry, I have had the pleasure of meeting many, many erudite and accomplished women, including the actress Megan Fox (who, by the way, is even hotter in person).

I'll go a step further and say that I honestly believe that Eunice Kennedy Shriver has done more good for humanity that any woman in her lifetime. Yes, Mother Teresa fed + sheltered the poor and infirmed, but Eunice touched millions of more lives by reaching out to the forgotten; this is, the people with intellectual disabilities who, before her, had been relegated to 2nd and 3rd-class status as human beings. Besides founding the Special Olympics, Eunice also helped her husband Sargent Shriver create the Peace Corps - and she accomplished all this while undertaking the daunting task of raising Anthony!

I have been involved in Special Olympics and Best Buddies for seventeen years now and it has brought me more joy and peace than I could ever express in words. Eunice Kennedy Shriver, you have changed my life and I thank God for putting you on this planet.

Your pal -

Peter Farrelly
