NBA star signed up at a ceremony in Barcelona’s Pabellón Olímpico del Club Joventut Badalona, where he began his professional career.

Eleven teams comprising 110 athletes descended on Serbia for the Special Olympics European Unified Volleyball Tournament.

Inter Milan Captain joins with an athlete from Special Olympics Italy to launch 2011 Special Olympics European Football Week (May 14th – 22nd)—a week were everyone in the European football community is asked to create more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in football and through their fan base promote respect, acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

European Football Week 2012 begins on May 12th and continues on until May 20th. The entire European football community come together to create more opportunities in football for players with intellectual disabilities and it is supported by UEFA.

Football stars and legends including Johan Cruyff, Dani Alves and Christian Karembeu get behind European Football Week. Special Olympics organise this week to encourage the football community to open more opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
