Join Us: Become an Athlete, Volunteer, or Coach

Special Olympics Asia Pacific is more than a sports organization — it's a vibrant community rooted in inclusion, empowerment, and transformation. Across 35 countries and territories, we celebrate the talents of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and invite you to be part of the journey. Whether participating, supporting, or coaching, there's space to make a difference.

Together, we’re building a world where everyone belongs.

Become an Athlete or Unified Partner

Special Olympics athletes with IDD train, compete, and grow in confidence through year-round sports, education and health programs. Across the Asia Pacific region, more than 550,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities are discovering their potential and forming friendships that last a lifetime. Apart from a wide range of sports tailored to different interests and abilities, athletes also benefit from health screenings and leadership development opportunities.

Unified Sports brings athletes with and without intellectual disabilities together to train and compete. Unified Partners play alongside athletes, creating authentic bonds through shared experiences. These teams foster understanding, promote inclusion, and help athletes develop leadership skills while enjoying the spirit of sport.
