Miomir Vijonovic has served as the Minister of Education since April 2022. Vojinović was born in Bijelo Polje, where he finished primary and secondary school.
He graduated from the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature at the Moscow Pedagogical State University, where he obtained the title of Master of Pedagogical Sciences. He worked in several primary and secondary schools.
He was a member of the Council of Citizens of the FR Yugoslavia, as well as twice in the Parliament of Montenegro.
Double laureate of the Pushkin Prize for Literature, honorary member of the Moscow Club of World Pedagogues. His name can be found in the "Encyclopaedia of the Most Prominent Diplomats of the Russian University.”
Married to wife Dušica and has daughters Anastasija, Marija and Ivana.
