For the second consecutive year, Special Olympics Delaware and the Law Enforcement Torch Run are organizing the Delaware Memorial Bridge 5K Run to Acceptance for Special Olympics. This year’s run/walk will be held on Sunday, September 30th, and raises money to build bridges of acceptance for the more than 4,200 children and adults in Delaware who participate in Special Olympics.
This unique event—the only event that takes place on the Twin Spans—is open to active, retired and veteran first responders in the following categories: law enforcement, fire, EMS, medical and military personnel.
The 5K run/walk begins at 7 a.m. in New Jersey and will finish on the Delaware side. The cost to participate is $100 with the opportunity to fund-raise to reach your entry fee. Join us and cross the iconic Delaware Memorial Bridge on foot!
