Hello, my name is Anisha Chopra and I love being a part of the Unified Generation! I am a recent Sandusky High School graduate and an upcoming University of Michigan freshman. In 2019, I was introduced to Special Olympics through my school’s unified club. During the pandemic and online learning, our club was inactive, but after attending the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, we knew that had to change. With the help of SO Ohio and others in the school, I reorganized our Unified students of Sandusky group and activated the student body in Unified Sports®, whole-school engagement, and social media opportunities. As a group, we were able to show our community that inclusive large-scale events are possible! I have loved meeting new people and learning how to spread the word at the 2023 Capitol Hill Day and the 2023 Global Youth Leadership Summit. I cannot wait to continue this journey as an Ambassador!
