Hi, my name is Kali! I am going to be a senior at Perkins High School. I am excited to start my senior year at a new school district. I am helping with starting a Special Olympics at Perkins High School. I have been with Special Olympics Unified Sports® now for almost 4 years. My Unified partner, best friend Anisha and I were chosen to represent Ohio at the 2022 Summer USA Games in Orlando, Florida. In January 2023, Anisha and I organized a high school Unified basketball game. In February, we had the opportunity to lobby on Capitol Hill for continued federal funding for Special Olympics. We were then chosen as Youth Leaders to represent the USA at the 2023 Summer World Games in Berlin, Germany. After the world games, I had the honor of being named 2023 Special Olympics Athlete Of The Year by USA Today!
