Special Olympics is a sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities. It is much more, too. As simple as it sounds, making sports available to all with intellectual disabilities is the basis for powerful changes to individual lives and to communities.

NBA Cares Unified Basketball Game 2015

Twelve Special Olympics basketball players from around the world teamed up with current and former NBA and WNBA starts in the NBA Cares Unified Sports basketball game on Feb 14, 2015. The game was in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Special Olympics Southern California basketball player TImothy Riemann gets a hearing examination from Elizabeth Chow, a volunteer graduate student from Chapman University.
Michael Phelps Swim Clinic
Olympics swimming gold medalist Michael Phelps took part in a swimming clinic for Special Olympics athletes going to the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games. The clinic was held at the aquatics center near Baltimore where Phelps learned to swim and has trained for all of his Olympic events.
