Katie's first time serving as a SME came in Orlando at USA Games in 2022, where she was assigned to four sports - Open Water Swimming, Triathlon, Stand Up Paddleboard, and Surfing. She also attended the 2018 USA Games in Seattle as a member of SO Minnesota's staff. Katie notes that being a SME has allowed her to experience new sports and meet new people in the process. She loves to see athletes training and competing at the highest level and connecting with other athletes from programs throughout the world.
