Catherine Frazier

Powerlifting Subject Matter Expert - North Carolina

Catherine got her introduction to Special Olympics as a volunteer with her husband Eli and his family, who are longtime volunteers with Special Olympics North Carolina. Catherine’s father-in-law, Richard, serves as both the USA Games and World Games Technical Delegate for Powerlifting. It’s a family affair for the Frazier’s on the Powerlifting front, as Catherine serves as a SO Connect SME, along with her husband and sister-in-law who serve as Sport Officials. Catherine’s first Major Games as a SME came in 2019 in Abu Dhabi, and she did such a fantastic job, that she will be repeating this role in both Orlando and Berlin next year! Along with Powerlifting, Catherine will also be supporting Gymnastics and Cheerleading at USA Games. In her spare time, Catherine can be found serving in a management role at her family’s construction business, and attending sporting events at her alma mater, NC State University, and Duke University, where her husband works in their athletic department.
