    Special Olympics Asia Pacific (SOAP) relies on Face-to-Face fundraising and telemarketing to fund our essential programs, including year-round sports training, athletic competitions, and health and leadership development for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) across 34 programs in the Asia Pacific region, such as India, Singapore, Australia, and the Pacific Islands among others.

    The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted our operations, leading to an 84% drop in Athlete Engagement. Support is crucial to help us restart, rebuild, and reclaim our reach in the region.

Legitimacy of our Fundraisers

All our fundraising activities are in compliance with the requirements of the commissioner of charities (Singapore) and details of our fundraising appeal are available on the charity portal.

Special Olympics Asia Pacific relies on trusted, professional fundraising agencies to engage with our supporters in Singapore, where our office is based.

SG Labuan Limited, SalesWorks & LadderPro are the professional fundraising agencies that support Special Olympics Asia Pacific in liaising with both existing and potential donors in the community.

As our partner, they may reach out to you from time to time for the purpose of updating your personal particulars, sharing an update of our programmes or seek financial donations for Special Olympics through the Direct Debit Donor Programme (DDDP).

Face-to-Face Fundraisers

Our friendly brand ambassadors that conduct public fundraising will be stationed at various locations around Singapore.


They will be dressed in a purple and orange vest with the Special Olympics Asia Pacific logo (as depicted in these photos) and identify themselves as fundraisers representing Special Olympics Asia Pacific.

Identity Badges and Letters

You can verify their identity by asking for their badge which carries their name, photo and ID number. Our brand ambassadors will also be carrying a disclosure approved by the Commissioner of Charities which operates under the purview of the Singapore Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth (MCCY).

Marketing Materials

While the contents of the marketing materials might change from time to time, it will always carry the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Logo, as well as our contact information.

Our service providers comply or are certified with the following standards to ensure that any donation made is safe and secure.

  2. Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and subsidiary legislation related thereto. 
  3. Subscribe fully to the Code for Commercial Fund-raisers (Adapted for Charities) issued by the Commissioner of Charities.
