Unified Football World Cup

The Special Olympics Unified Football World Cup (previously referred to as the Unified Cup) presented by Toyota was hosted in Detroit, Michigan in July 2022. As the second iteration of the Cup, this single sport competition was built on the inaugural installment in Chicago in 2018.

In 2026, for the first time, France will host the Special Olympics Unified Football World Cup in Paris. This, the third edition of the Cup, will take place 6 – 11 July across venues in the heart of Paris.

Inclusive Healthy Lifestyle Groups in Schools

The Inclusive Healthy Lifestyle Groups in Schools (IHLGIS) is funded through the EU4 Health Programme. The project promotes healthy lifestyles in schools for students with and without intellectual disabilities (ID). The other project partners are, Special Olympics Estonia, Special Olympics Berlin, Special Olympics Poland and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Special Olympics Berlin will be a key partner in this project to cement the legacy of the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games.

Inclusive Healthy Lifestyles Groups in Schools

The Inclusive Healthy Lifestyle Groups in School (IHLGIS) is funded through the EU4 Health Programme. The project focuses on the promotion of healthy lifestyles in schools for students with and without intellectual disabilities (ID). The project commenced on the 1st of November 2022 and will run for 36 Months and finish on the 31st October 2025. The partners in the project are the SO Europe Eurasia, Special Olympics Estonia, Special Olympics Berlin, Special Olympics Poland, Special Olympics Hellas and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Special Olympics Berlin will be a key partner in this project as they will help with cementing the legacy of the 2023 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
