Special Olympics Advisor and advocate for Unified with Refugees programme, Gerald Mballe has been shortlisted for the Integration of Refugees Through Sport Award (IRTS) Role Model Award.

From Brussels to Nairobi and from Tuzla to Turin and beyond, the Special Olympics Unified with Refugees program continues to expand its reach in affording Special Olympics athletes and refugee youth alike the opportunity to come together and Play Unified.

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, join us as we celebrate World Refugee Day, which commemorates the bravery and strength of the many refugees forced to leave their homes because of persecution.

Special Olympics Belgium athletes and refugees who are living in Belgium came together to demonstrate the power of inclusion at a recent Special Olympics Unified Football Competition in Brussels.
