Every day, young people like Brightfield are bullied, due to their intellectual disabilities. Despite challenges, Bright has grown up to be a talented motivational speaker, graphic designer and photographer. Meet Brightfield.

The newest members of Africa Region’s Athlete Input Council were elected recently and represent a diverse array of nations.

The academy, with representatives from 20 African countries, took place September 2017 at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.

Athletes lead the way as the voices of the Special Olympics movement, educating the world about the potential of people with intellectual disabilities through their insights and contributions.
