Slovakia returned home from Chicago as champions of the inaugural Special Olympics Unified Cup presented by Toyota.

The first-ever Special Olympics Unified Cup was presented by Toyota! This international football (soccer) tournament showcased the unifying power of sport on a global stage.

The Special Olympics International Board of Directors member was among the celebrities and athletes who took part.

A total of 40 girls, aged 14 to 17, and their coaches gathered at the Baku Sports Palace for their first Unified Football training.

More than 65 athletes from Special Olympics Cyprus and over 20 partners / volunteers participated in the Unified Football Project.

Inter Milan Captain joins with an athlete from Special Olympics Italy to launch 2011 Special Olympics European Football Week (May 14th – 22nd)—a week were everyone in the European football community is asked to create more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in football and through their fan base promote respect, acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

European Football Week 2012 begins on May 12th and continues on until May 20th. The entire European football community come together to create more opportunities in football for players with intellectual disabilities and it is supported by UEFA.

Young Estonia athletes enjoyed skills building and training with coaches from the Estonian Football Association (Eesti Jalgpalli Liit) during a European Football Week #EFW2018 event on 23 May!
