Project Description

Esra’a’s grant plan is to recruit new athlete leaders by inviting them to attend the local athlete leader input council. At the meeting current athlete leaders will give a training session on communication and other life skills. The potential athlete leaders will learn about the role of the local council and be able to share their ideas and suggestions. Esra’a’s plan will also include a large-scale running event, the “Run for Jordan Marathon” (a 10k and 4k run) which will showcase athletes’ abilities. The marathon will attract participants from all parts of the country. She also plans to hold an awareness session in a school where athlete leaders will share their stories and talk about their achievements. She hopes that this will increase awareness on unified leadership and how it benefits everyone. To educate others about climate change and how our activities effect it, Esra’a plans to organize a unified planting activity where athlete leaders and their peers will plant trees.
