The Unified Champion Schools (UCS) Inclusion Academy is a global professional learning initiative developed by the Special Olympics Global Center for Inclusion in Education, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Inclusion Academy equips educators, coaches, and community leaders with the knowledge, skills, and practical strategies needed to create inclusive learning environments through the power of sport.

The Inclusion Academy builds on more than 50 years of Special Olympics experience advancing social inclusion through sport, education, and youth leadership across more than 200 countries and jurisdictions.

Why Inclusion in Education Matters

More than 200 million children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) face barriers to education worldwide. Building inclusive learning environments is essential to ensuring every learner has the opportunity to participate, belong, and succeed

The Inclusion Academy was created to help address this challenge, building on the proven impact of Unified Sports® and its ability to bring people with and without IDD together through shared experiences.
