About European Football Week

Special Olympics European Football Week is an annual campaign running every year in late spring, promoting inclusion in football across Europe and Eurasia. The campaign involves an estimated 35,000+ athletes and Unified partners in over 45 countries. With the support of our partners, European Football Week aims at creating new sports opportunities for our athletes starting at grassroots level and building up to international events.
More than 35,000 participants from 45 countries competed in 350 football events between 20 and 28 May to mark the 23rd edition of the Special Olympics European Football Week #EFW2023.
Over 35,000 participants across 45 countries participated in football events from 20 to 29 May to mark the new edition of European Football Week #EFW2022, supported by UEFA.
From 23 to 30 September, thousands of participants across 40 countries took part in safe, local events to mark European Football Week 2021 #EFW2021, supported by UEFA.
This year, European Football Week went digital. Welcome to Faces of Football!
Between 25 May and 2 June 2019, 40,000 participants across 50 countries competed in 450 events.
Supported by UEFA Respect, MetLife, national football federations and professional clubs, European Football Week (EFW) is a highlight in the Special Olympics calendar. From 19 to 27 May 2018, 45,000 participants across 50 countries took part in 450 events.
