Global Athlete Leadership Council 2017-2020
Athlete Leaders have limitless opportunities to provide the perspective and opinions of athletes as an Athlete Representative. Athletes serving in these roles are integral members of boards, committees, and Athlete Input Councils. They help set policy, make recommendations for continuous improvement, introduce new ideas, and contribute to programming.

Women of World Games
In 1968, two women, Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Chief Justice Anne Burke combined forces to organize the first Special Olympics event. In the decades since, women have been working behind the scenes in many different roles to coordinate and lead Special Olympics World Games execution.
