There was no shortage of amazing fans at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 and each day, fans and family members were able to join in the spirit of the Games helping to support and uplift all those competing.

This past week, the Special Olympics World Games took place in Berlin coinciding with the WTA’s bett1open presented by ecotrans Group.

On 7 June, the Special Olympics Flame of Hope was lit in Athens, Greece and then began making its way to the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023. This flame, carried by members of the 2023 LETR Final Leg, will light the cauldron during Opening Ceremonies to mark the official start to the Games.

The moment has come: The Special Olympics Flame of Hope™ was lit by a high priestess in Athens, Greece, in a solemn ceremony at the historic temple Zappeion Megaron.
