Betsy Coetzee said it was her first time coming to a Special Olympics South Africa screening and that her experience was amazing.

Inclusion must go beyond the playing field, to empower people with intellectual disabilities to live up to their fullest potential.

Mrs. Francina Bopape, from Mahube valey in Pretoria, was one of the parents who came to the screening with her son. She said that she was very keen to find out what Special Olympics South Africa is about and that this served as a reason for both her and her son to come and attend the screening.

We were able to help educate the community about proper health care for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

All nine provinces took a quantity of TOMS shoes for their athletes.
