Youth leaders Baqir and Ayan created Unified Leadership opportunities for youth with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities across Lahore, Pakistan. The project resulted in six new Unified Leadership Clubs, empowering youth to lead inclusive activities and strengthen teamwork, planning, and leadership skills.
About the Project
The project identified youth leaders with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities from six schools across Lahore, Pakistan, and established three Unified Leadership Clubs. The youth leaders helped facilitate training for club members and engaged educators to support the clubs. The training focused on Unified Leadership principles and the youth-led model of Unified Champion Schools. The project concluded with a Unified Leaders Best Practices Exchange Forum, bringing together youth leaders involved in the project to share their experiences and ideas.
