Their involvement in Special Olympics has allowed them to learn and grow as people. They are excited to help other young people by leading a Youth Innovation Project that introduces Special Olympics athletes to the arts. Daniela and Mildred will get youth involved in participating in plays and developing short stories about accomplished people with intellectual disabilities that inspire the athletes to strive for their dreams.

Over 6 months, Daniela and Mildred will host 4 webinars to get young people involved as participants in plays and short stories that allow them to practice their acting and give them an opportunity to develop public speaking skills. They will choose educational and inspirational stories about intelligent people with intellectual disabilities like Temple Grandin and Noelia Garella who have accomplished backgrounds. In doing so, Daniela and Mildred hope to engage new Youth Leaders in the Unified Generation and encourage them to go after their biggest goals and dreams. They believe that sharing these stories will empower young people to believe in themselves and foster an inclusive mindset.
