Athletes Got Talent is an arts initiative that offers new opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to explore art, music, and dance programming and promotes family and sibling engagement. The project’s culmination will be a celebratory showcase, Athletes Got Talent, where participants will debut their talents and shine a spotlight on inclusion. Kelechi, and Amarachi’s project will bring together individuals with intellectual disabilities with various hidden talents to showcase their skills to the community and grow their confidence.

Over the course of six months, Kelechi and Amarachi will share their love and passion for the arts by teaching 130 people with and without intellectual disabilities art, music, and dance techniques and skills to enhance their talents, build self-confidence, and keep their minds and bodies healthy. Athletes Got Talent will culminate with a public performance showcasing the Special Olympics athletes’ talent and helping them find confidence and acceptance. By promoting social inclusion through the arts, Kelechi and Amarachi hope to recruit new Special Olympics Youth Leaders to join the Unified Generation and identify future opportunities for Special Olympics athletes to showcase their talents and abilities across Nigeria.
