Gaelle and Juliana’s project will organize a collaboration between Special Olympics Mauritius and Mauritius Scouts to share and teach each other about opportunities each organization sponsors. Gaelle and Juliana hope that integrating activities between Special Olympics and Mauritius Scouts, they will recruit new young people to join both organizations on their mission to create a culture of inclusion across Mauritius.

Gaelle and Juliana will lead 50 Special Olympics participants and 100 Mauritius Scouts in activities that raise awareness about the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and ways to make communities more accessible. Gaelle and Juliana believe uniting Scouts and Special Olympics Unified will provide participants the skills needed to develop as leaders. The partnership will also provide participants with a new and expansive network of Youth Leaders and friends. Gaelle and Juliana hope their project will inspire a greater understanding between the two organizations as they work to bring inclusive programming to communities throughout Mauritius.
