Isaiah and Oluwatobiloba will introduce, Fit&Empowered, their Unified health and fitness program in six local communities to provide opportunities for inclusive health lessons for individuals with and without intellectual disabilities. Their program will encourage participants to implement fitness routines and healthy lifestyle decisions that will improve their quality of life. By extending Unified Sports and Healthy Athletes programming to local communities, Isaiah and Oluwatobiloba ’s project will provide participants the knowledge and tools needed to stay fit and healthy while promoting a culture of inclusion across Nigeria.

Over six months, Isaiah and Oluwatobiloba will lead a team of 20 Special Olympics Youth Leaders to engage in their Fit&Empowered program. This program, modeled after the Special Olympics Fit5 curriculum, will host the main activities for their project. Isaiah and Oluwatobiloba will host leadership training and certification workshops for participants to foster friendships and connections to be taken into local communities to educate other young people. By expanding Unified fitness programming in local communities, Isaiah and Oluwatobiloba will increase opportunities for the Unified Generation to reach new individuals and create healthier communities in Nigeria.
