The Forum, which is run in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lions Clubs International (LCI) and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) among others, takes place from 24 to 28 September.
In September 2018, Yee Ling and Lam Shing Yiu participated in the Special Olympics Global Youth Leadership Forum in Baku, Azerbaijan to learn how to enhance the impact of their youth leadership and establish a project plan for their initiative.

Yee Ling and Lam Shing Yiu plan to grow their buddy club by having senior students organize and participate in sport and non-sport activities with junior students. Through this project, they hope to create a community of social inclusion within their school. They expect their project to teach students about the concept of the Unified Generation, foster long-lasting friendships among students with and without intellectual disabilities, and build a team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders.

Yee Ling and Lam Shing Yiu are excited to work together as part of the Unified Generation. To them, the Unified Generation means youth with and without intellectual disabilities working together to build an inclusive society. As leaders of the Unified Generation, Yee Ling and Shing Yiu are creating inclusion in Hong Kong and inspiring inclusion around the world.
