Xavier and Irbin will create a task force and implement workshops to educate participants on proper water usage and water safety and ensure everyone in their community has access to safe and plentiful water. Xavier and Irbin hope that by bringing together Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities to solve a problem, they will teach environmental stewardship, encourage community and social development, and demonstrate the power of inclusion in community-based decisions.

Over nine months, Xavier and Irbin will lead a team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities and specialists in water conservation to plan and implement a series of workshops to distribute educational materials on water supply management. Xavier and Irbin will share the importance of water conservation and information on how to prevent water shortages in their community. Xavier and Irbin hope over 200 new Youth Leaders will join them on their water conservation mission to show the strength of the Unified Generation as they inspire their community to be more inclusive.
