Leidy and Nelson will first work together with a local scout troop to learn some of the activities and how they function before implementing the Unified program.

Over the course of a year, Leidy and Nelson will engage 50 youth with and without intellectual disabilities, train three new Youth Leaders, establish one Unified School and make 13,500 social media impressions. Leidy and Nelson are looking beyond inclusion in schools and sports to bring opportunities for all young people to participate in community organizations such as scouts. Leidy and Nelson are bringing together young people with and without intellectual disabilities to work together as a team, learn new skills and practice inclusion, all of which are helping to build the Unified Generation.
