Katarina and Milena will host a regional inclusive youth leadership forum that unites Special Olympics Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities from three municipalities in Montenegro. Katarina and Milena’s project will connect young people from Montenegro’s Special Olympics Unified Sports programs and Unified Schools to open discussions and host workshops with ideas on how to expand and improve programs and recruit new Special Olympics Youth Leaders. Katarina and Milena believe their project will provide Youth Leaders with additional connections, ideas, and tools to help them inspire others to join the Unified Generation to spread messages of inclusion across Montenegro.

Over six months, Katarina and Milena will lead a team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities to plan, promote, and host the regional inclusive youth leadership forum. This forum will connect Special Olympics Youth Leaders from Unified Schools and municipalities in Montenegro to collaborate and share ideas on ways to expand Special Olympics programming in their communities. Workshops and breakout sessions during the forum will provide ideas for participants to expand their roles as Special Olympics Youth Leaders pioneering the inclusion revolution. Katarina and Milena believe their inclusive youth leadership forum will grow the network of Special Olympics Youth Leaders to and provide tools and skills needed to inspire new young people to join them as part of the Unified Generation.
