Their project will introduce participants to a Unified table tennis program, individual and partnered training techniques, recreational activities, and competitions. Rayan and Demetris hope engagement in their Unified table tennis program will spark interest in other Unified Sports opportunities and support recruitment of new Special Olympics Youth Leaders.

Over nine months, Rayan and Demetris will lead a team of Youth Leaders, Special Olympics coaches, and Cyprus Table Tennis Federation officials to plan and support the their Unified table tennis program. With engagement of the Table Tennis Federation officials, Rayan and Demetris are hopeful they can expand Unified table tennis opportunities across Cyprus. By introducing this new program into their community, Rayan and Demetris will unite individuals with and without intellectual disabilities and showcase the power of inclusion in communities across Cyprus.
