Advocacy/Community Engagement
Jessica is a sibling and Special Olympics Youth Leader from Cote d’Ivoire who is leading a Youth Innovation Project aimed at training new Youth Leaders and siblings on skills ranging from leadership and project management to emotional wellness, human rights, and inclusion.
Through this project, Jessica will cultivate relationships between athletes, siblings, and other Youth Leaders to create Youth Innovation Projects of their own after the trainings.
Over the course of 9 months, Jessica hopes to engage 60 people in her 2-day workshop. Jessica was inspired by the success of another workshop set up by siblings focused on feminine hygiene and wants to inspire more Youth Leaders to create the space to share knowledge and create friendships. By creating a network of Youth Leaders, Jessica is inspiring the Unified Generation to use their skills and passions to support each other and build a more inclusive world.
