After facing discrimination in school, Iven became a Special Olympics athlete and Christopher saw a positive change in Iven that made him become involved as his Unified partner; this helped them realize the power of inclusion and the impact it could have on other students. With this in mind, they will host workshops at schools across their district to engage new Youth Leaders who can advocate for inclusion in their schools and use the workshops as platforms to recruit athletes and commence sport activities.

Over 6 months, Iven and Christopher will work to recruit 400 new athletes and 300 new Unified Partners through their workshops. They will begin their project by holding an awareness event at the District Education Office to enlist the help of community leaders and the community at large in promoting inclusion and supporting their project both during and after implementation, with the goal that it becomes self-sustainable over time. Iven and Christopher hope that their project will improve awareness about intellectual disabilities and inclusion in their district by 25%, thereby creating a more inclusive community and putting an end to any further discrimination.
