Melanie Tatiana and Edwin Fabian will guide a team of individuals with and without intellectual disabilities, educators, administrators, and Special Olympics volunteers to organize new Unified Sports programs that will engage participants in sports, fitness, and recreational activities that promote social inclusion. While creating a path to friendship and understanding, Melanie Tatiana and Edwin Fabian’s project will increase awareness of individuals with intellectual disabilities and foster a culture of inclusion across Paraguay.

Over a six-month learning journey of inclusion, Melanie Tatiana and Edwin Fabian will lead their team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders, educators, and Special Olympics volunteers to support the growth and expansion of Special Olympics Unified programs in addition to the creation of three new Unified Schools in Paraguay. . By promoting social inclusion through shared sports and social experiences, Melania Tatiana and Edwin Fabian hope to recruit new 50 new Youth Leaders to join the Unified Generation and advocate for inclusion through their involvement in Unified Sports activities.
