These experiences inspired her to lead a Youth Innovation Project that makes Peru a more inclusive place. Arianna noticed there are many Peruvian organizations working on inclusion, but they aren’t working together to create even more inclusive opportunities than they could on their own. Arianna’s project aims to bridge this gap so that, as a team, these organizations can solve the issues people with intellectual disabilities have faced for years.

Over a period of 9 months, Arianna will get 50 new Youth Leaders and hundreds of volunteers at the organizations involved in developing a strategy to all fight for the same objective of inclusion. Arianna will encourage participants to launch initiatives so they can continue collaborating in the future and sign a pledge to work as a team, making this the first national movement for inclusion in Peru. By bringing people together in the fight for inclusion, Arianna hopes to multiply each organization’s impact and increase visibility for Special Olympics Peru, thereby attracting new athletes and volunteers to the organization. With this project, Arianna is making a true and lasting impact on society.
