Susana and Ariana’s project will unite Special Olympics programs and Venezuela Scouts to in hopes of recruiting new young people to join them on their mission to create a culture of inclusion in Venezuela.

Over six months, Susana and Ariana will lead a team of 30 Special Olympics Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities to plan, promote, and implement a series of interactive conservation-based activities that will span three months and engage over 50 Special Olympics athletes and Venezuelan Scouts. Susana and Ariana believe introducing Scouts to Special Olympics Unified programming and engaging in conversations about athletics, fitness, nutrition, environmental conservation, and wilderness skills, will plant the seeds for lasting friendships and provide tools to promote inclusion. Susana and Ariana hope their project will inspire 30 new Youth Leaders to join the Unified Generation to empower others to spread the message of inclusion across Venezuela.
