Dea and Patrik will create opportunities for youth with and without intellectual disabilities to participate in summer sports programs to engage in interactive sports, fitness, and recreational activities that promote social inclusion. Dea and Patrik’s initiative will increase awareness about Special Olympics Unified Sports programs in their communities

Over six months, Dea and Patrik will lead a team of Special Olympics Youth Leaders, educators, and Special Olympics volunteers who will support the growth and expansion of Special Olympics Unified Schools and Unified Sports programs in Albania. Dea and Patrik will lead a Unified Sports outdoor recreation program to bring people with and without intellectual disabilities together in a fun and competitive setting. By promoting social inclusion through shared sports and social experiences, Dea and Patrik hope to recruit new Youth Leaders to join the Unified Generation and establish new Unified Schools and Unified Sports programs in their communities.
